The first round of the European Youth Basketball League, sponsored by Carmistin

The first tournament of Group F in the European Youth Basketball League U20 (EYBL), held between November 20–22 at the Olimpia Sports Hall in Ploiești, was organized with the support of the Carmistin Foundation and the tournament’s main sponsor, Carmistin The Food Company.

The Ploiești team, coached by Ionuț Ivan and Cristi Trandafir, won all four matches played against athletes from Portugal, Hungary, and England. The high level of performance displayed by the Romanian players was further confirmed by the five individual awards presented by EYBL representative Mate Jakab at the end of the tournament.

David Rasoga was named Team MVP (Most Valuable Player), while Codruț Dinu, Rareș Mihalache, and Rareș Movileanu were included in the Best Five (the tournament's top five players). Rareș Movileanu was also declared Tournament MVP, with an average of 15.5 points and 8 rebounds per game.
